Wendy currently teaches Beginner Belly Dance, and Choreography, and plans to offer a mixed-level class in the near future.
She discovered belly dance in 2007 and since then it has grown from a once-a-week hobby to a full-time obsession. She is on a mission to spread the joy and confidence belly dance imparts to other women (and men) who don't think they are dancers.
She has studied American Tribal Style since 2008 and has also trained in American Cabaret and Tribal Fusion. She has studied under instructors including Denise Bradford, Jeannie Murdock, and Kalima of Kalima Tribal. She has also participated in workshops and intensives with The Rising Sun Tribe, Zoe Jakes, Mavi, Urban Gypsy, Annie of Ancient Moon, Megha Gavin, Jenny Lawrence, Mardi Love, Rachel Brice, Jennifer Nolan, Kaeshi Chai, Suhaila Salimpour, Wendy Allen, Kae Montgomery, Sandi Ball, Liz Malcolm, Carolena Nericchio, Naima Sultana, Angie Never, Lacey Sanchez, Deanna Padron, Mahsati Janan and many others.
She has also trained in sword performance under Anna Maria Cancelli, Mavi, and Amara Al Amir.
Wendy earned her American Tribal Style General Skills Certification in June 2012.
She is currently owner and director of Queens of D'Nile Studio.
